Batemans Bay Sunset
Time to do some housekeeping - caught up with all our mail at Batemans Bay (thanks Ben) registered the car paid bills, stocked up on groceries, went to the movies and had a yummy gourmet pizza ~ a great night out

Decided to camp at Depot Beach at Murramarang NP what a spot and terrific site - gave the Solar Panel its first real work out with great results Rob was able to write and I was able to edit and produce CD's of an interview I had done with my dad to send to family for Christmas - what a bonus having the solar!!
The spotted gums grow on steep slopes right down to the sea. The dramatic contrast of their pale, mottled trunks to the dark green understorey of burrawangs is beautiful and the coastline is breathtaking with its cliffs and headlands, rock platforms, hidden sea caves, and sand and shingle beaches.
The Water is crystal clear a bit cold but once your in - it's great; leaves you feeling fresh and tingly all over lots of beautiful isolated beaches to swim in cute little town (no shops) and great walking trails.
Rob doing dinner...

Cheeky Kookaburra
Rob was happy that he could finally have a fire again and Anne was happy because Rob was cooking again! The old Kookaburras had to be watched especially when the chops were on.
The park protects what is regarded as the largest Aboriginal midden on the south coast and is a place where their ancestors were sometimes buried. The lagoon, to the north of the headland, is home to a serpent associated with traditional religious beliefs about the creation of the land.
Below are some of my favourite pics of our stay here:
